Sup guys!
Happy Fucking Friday—yeaaah, that’s right. It’s Friday, you beautiful motherfuckers.
I hope you all had a very pleasant Halloween and ate lots of candy and enjoyed a bunch of delicious booze, if that’s your thing.
Lily and I didn’t do anything for Halloween.
Besides doing four loads of laundry and watching my newest favorite show I’m Sorry on Netflix, we just stayed in and acted like the domesticated bad bitches that we are.
Oh and also, shoutout to Lily because OMFG she made the most delicious flautas de papa con chorizo last night with the most eloquent salsa verde.
UUUUF. That shit slapped me all the way to bed, sissies.
God bless that sexy woman…
Alright, back to the bidness.
So I wanted to give a quick update to you all on a new project I’m working on.
It’s very TOTT related ;-)
Do you guys know about NaNoWriMo? Well, if you don’t, you should cause it’s totally cool. It’s basically this awesome writing community that dedicates the month of November to starting and *finishing* a writing project of your choice. This could be a novel, a collection of short stories, poems, a memoir.
Throughout the entire month you set a word count goal and you track how many words you’ve written for the day. (LOL this sounds like an ad but it’s totally not, keep reading please…)
You get to meet other writing buddies via the Internet because we all know how awesome that is; and at the end of the month, you would have hopefully succeeded in writing the first draft of your project!
I first discovered NaNoWriMo when I was an awkward pre-teen on Tumblr following writing accounts. I loved all of the cozy pictures of coffee mugs, laptops, typewriters, and gorgeous cups of tea that were shared by people going through the process. I fantasized about that being my life because duh, who wouldn’t want to be a badass creative writer who just sits around and creates whole ass worlds out of their own imagination using nothing but words?!
Like FUCK YEAH, SIGN ME UP!
See, one of my life long dreams is to write a book. It’s always appealed to me because it means that I get to share my amazing fucked up story of how I came to be this awesome person despite all of my cute trials and tribulations. LOL but seriously.
All of that to say, ladies and gents and aliens and people, that I have finally joined #NaNoWriMo this year and will be writing a memoir!
I know, I’m super excited.
I’m also kind of scared? Like this is a pretty huge project that I’m taking on, and I am notorious for starting things and not finishing them.
*triggered*
But, that’s okay because you know what?
Like my man Mac Miller once said,
YOU GOTTA JUMP IN TO SWIM.
So that’s what I’m doing, guys. I’m jumping in.
Thanks for reading!
Peace :]<3
